Lives of quiet desperation

Many of God's people are living as captives - deceived and oppressed  - because they do not understand their identity
and authority in Christ. Many in the church today are struggling with depression, condemning thoughts, compulsive
behaviors and personal conflicts.  We take a spiritual approach to mental illness and disease, we believe Jesus died not
only to forgive us of our sins but to set us free from the effects of sin in this life.  When Adam and Eve fell in the garden
the world came under a curse called the "law of sin and death" Romans 7.  The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 28:15-64 that
one of the effects of the curse the world is under is mental illness, but when we come to Jesus we have been delivered
from the authority or power of the curse and many Christians don't under stand how to live outside of the curse. This
ministry is here to help Christians experience life Beyond The Curse.
We have seen believers from all walks of life set free from all types of bondage when they realize, who they are in Christ and their authority over sin and the spiritual world of
darkness, the session takes 2 to 4 hours to complete.

Our Mission

The mission of Beyond The Curse is to address those issues and problems that call for the assistance of another believer to help confront oppression and to teach believers how
to live free in Christ.  We accomplish this by taking the believer through seven categories that may be preventing them from living the abundant life Jesus promised.  We rely on
the Holy Spirit to reveal issues in the believer’s life the spiritual world of darkness may be operating in, we call this the freedom appointment.

The Freedom Appointment

We have teams of two; one person will lead the believer through a series of confessions, renunciations and proclamations while the other is in prayer (every team member has
went through this same process). The seven categories are:

  1. False guidance: In this category, we deal with false spiritual guidance
  2. Deception: In this category, we deal with lies we have excepted or told ourselves
  3. Bitterness: In this category, we deal with unforgiveness
  4. Rebellion: In this category, we deal with any area we have not submitted to God or His word
  5. Pride: In this category, we deal with any area we are not trusting in God
  6. Habitual Sins: In this category, we deal with acts of sin
  7. Generational Sins: In this category, we deal with generational and family sins

As we go through these categories with the believer, the Holy Spirit will remind them of situations or incidents that are associated with that category:

1.
Confessing any sin (and the forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ) that is associated with the issue
Confession is not God condemning us for our sins, it is us taking responsibility for what we have done wrong
One of the first steps to overcoming issues in our life is to take responsibility for them, until we do we will
never be able to operate in the spirit man in that area of our life.
2.
Renouncing any lies that the believer has accepted and any demonic activity associated with the issue
In this way we are exposing Satan and his tactics.
3.
Proclaiming their victory and authority over the issue and the spiritual world of darkness
When we are proclaiming victory we are exercising our faith in what we believe God has done.
